At Kuna, we work at the intersection of architecture, urbanism and community, exploring what it means to create designs rooted in place.

Our work follows a contemporary vernacular approach - learning from traditional building methods while observing what people actually construct today.
Most building happens without architects, shaped by economics and availability. We create solutions that respond to these realities. Good design starts with understanding where you are.

Beyond built projects, we conduct walks and workshops that invite people to engage with their surroundings - photowalks, sketch walks, participatory mapping. Through architecture, research, and community programs, we explore what it means to design thoughtfully for rapidly urbanizing mountain towns.

We're a small, passionate team committed to creating meaningful work in the Himalayas. As a new generation of architects and creatives based in Sikkim, we believe in design with intention - work that's rooted in context, shaped by collaboration, and guided by care for the places we come from.
